What's My Wine? Interactive Wine Tasting Game
what'smywine? is a game for 4 - 24 players, or even more, and a fun way to spend time with friends and family… tasting, talking and learning about wine. It works equally well in small groups of 4 or 5 as a tool for helping to hone your wine tasting skills. The aim is to guess the facts about the mystery wine, but also to let your taste buds and your imagination connect. One person can host the party and provide all the wines, or each person/couple can bring their own mystery bottle to the party. Either way all you need is a few bottles of wine, some socks (yes really, some socks) and to want to spend some quality time with friends. This is a game where everyone’s taste buds and everyone’s views, expert or not, really do count.
Using the wine wheels and the helpful tips, participants align the rotating bottle in the centre of each wheel with the main grape, the country of origin and the price of the wine. Teams then produce a catchy advertising slogan or caption, or even a jingle, which aims to capture the character of the wine. These are presented to the bottle ‘owner’ in any way they choose. The sock is pulled off and the ‘truth’ about the hidden wine is revealed. Points are awarded. Simple, quick and fun. And you may even have learnt something new about wine.
