Mossburn 12 Year Old, Speyside Blended Malt, Foursquare Rum Finish, Scotland

The first release of their Cask Collaboration series, this is Mossburn's Speyside Blended Malt that's finished in Foursquare Rum casks.

The Master Blender chose a number of mature Speyside single malts, and combined these to create a nutty, honeyed dram which was then finished for a year in Foursquare rum casks, adding rich Muscavado notes. 57.7% ABV.

This is a limited edition bottling of 1,200 bottles. 

This glorious whisky is complex and well balanced, with spicy and sweet notes of peppermint, nutmeg, Christmas cake, marmalade, and vanilla on the nose. The palate offers toffee apples, sweet spices and gingerbread with a delicate perfumed character and touches of bitter orange peel and raisins soaked in rum. The finish is long, sweet and spicy.
